Publishers v eReaders: latest round goes to publishers

They are eager to celebrate a phyrric victory

functions.

For the time being, publishers are enjoying some success in their battle with Apple and Amazon over pricing of their content. Macmillan got Amazon to blink. Now, enter Google with its plan to provide electronic content.

How long will the battle sway toward publishers? They may win a battle, but consumers will likely have the muscle to win the war.
