Imam Threatens U.S., Says If Mosque Moves, Terror Will 'Explode'
  • A Muslim imam behind a proposed cultural center  two blocks from New York's Ground Zero said he must build there despite angry protests in order to defend America and its citizens against a "danger from the radicals in the Muslim world to our national security."

We Don't Know Obama

We know less about Obama than any president.

Why do so many Americans question President Barack Obama's religious status and even his citizenship?
Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour says the answer is simple: Americans know less about President Obama than any other president in U.S. history.

Critics note that Obama has been less than forthcoming in releasing documents relating to his private life, typical of most presidents.
Obama has never released his long form birth certificate, which would include the exact place of birth, the name of the doctor who conducted the birth procedure and other birth details, fueling theories he may have been born outside the country. Hawaii state officials have stated they reviewed the full document and said Obama was born in Hawaii. Also, a local newspaper legal notice taken out by Obama's family days after his birth confirms this.
During the 2008 campaign Obama declined to release his school records for the three universities he attended. His Columbia University thesis has disappeared from the college's archives. Many records from his days as a state legislator in Illinois have also disappeared.

Provacative Loons...From Paris

"Fodder for Paris to rip on?" What? Johnny Depp is looks like loon. Period. The end. Speaking of loons (how's that for a transition?)...the crazy gent from Florida with the attention seeking personality disorder should not have been acknowledged by the President. Did the President call out loons who have burned the flag? I don't think so. If you're going to call out one loon, you'd better be prepared to consistently call out ALL loons.

Here's the deal (as Jonah Goldberg so eloquently pointed out) This situation is like blackmail. He should stop threatening that Muslims will attack if Americans act a certain way. Burning books is not the moral equivalent of killing Americans.

It's inappropriate and explosively provocative to burn religious books in public. It's inappropriate and explosively provocative to build a mosque on ground zero.

Mr President? Your turn.

Fodder for Paris to rip on (or it is good to be rich because you can dress how ever you want).

Yahtzee was a standby growing up, so I'm pleased that Yahtzee HD is a fun, faithful update of the original. You lose the joy of rolling the dice, but gain the joy of not having to fill out the scorecard.

Dem Congressman admits: ‘If you don’t tie our hands, we will keep stealing.’

On March 16, when confronted by members of the Jefferson Area Tea Party, Rep. Tom Perriello, D-Va., made a startling confession:

“If there’s one thing I’ve learned up here (in Washington) and I didn’t really need to come up here to learn it, is the only way to get Congress to balance the budget is to give them no choice, and the only way to keep them out of the cookie jar is to give them no choice, which is why – whether it’s balanced budget acts or pay as you go legislation or any of that – is the only thing. If you don’t tie our hands, we will keep stealing”

Story from the real world

The mother of a Malden man who survived being struck with four bullets in a gunfight that left the other two men dead said yesterday that she is grateful her son was armed with his licensed handgun at the time.

“He had it on him. Why, I don’t know. His friends said he’s never had it on him. But I am very thankful he did. Otherwise it would have been him killed,” said Kathleen Becerra, 47.

Jerry Bourque, 25, was on his porch at about 12:55 a.m. Tuesday with a friend when they were approached by two Boston men, Lakeem Tombs and Virgilio Dipre, both 18, authorities said.

“They said, ‘Do you know a girl named Veronica?’ My son said, ‘That doesn’t ring a bell.’ They walked away and then came back later and asked, ‘Is this Salem Street?’ When my son said, ‘Yes,’ they said, ‘Empty your pockets.’ One guy started pistol-whipping my son. Then the other kid starting shooting,” Bacerra said, citing her son and his friend’s account.

HOW STATES CAN RAISE MONEY: Sell drivers the right to speed. “Owners would pay $48 to sign up their vehicle’s VIN and license after a safety inspection, and get a transponder. At any time, they could dial into the state’s system, pay $25 and travel up to 90 mph in certain areas for 24 hours.”
