Stealth amnesty?

Laws, What Laws?… Big Sis To Grant Illegal Aliens “Unlawful Presence Waivers”

Laws, what laws?

Is there any law this administration is willing to honor?
Big Sis will grant illegal aliens “unlawful presence waivers.”
Judicial Watch reported:

In its quest to implement stealth amnesty, the Obama Administration is working behind the scenes to halt the deportation of certain illegal immigrants by granting them “unlawful presence waivers.”

The new measure would apply to illegal aliens who are relatives of American citizens. Here is how it would work, according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announcement posted in today’s Federal Register, the daily journal of the U.S. government; the agency will grant “unlawful presence waivers” to illegal aliens who can prove they have a relative that’s a U.S. citizen.

Currently such aliens must return to their native country and request a waiver of inadmissibility in an existing overseas immigrant visa process. In other words, they must enter the U.S. legally as thousands of foreigners do on a yearly basis. Besides the obvious security issues, changing this would be like rewarding bad behavior in a child. It doesn’t make sense.

But the system often causes U.S. citizens to be separated for extended periods from their immediate relatives,” according to the DHS. The proposed changes, first announced in January, will significantly reduce the length of time U.S. citizens are separated from their loved ones while required to remain outside the United States during the current visa processing system.

The administration also claims that relaxing the rule will also “create efficiencies for both the U.S. government and most applicants.” How exactly is not listed in the Federal Register announcement, which gives the public 60 days to comment. That’s only a formality since the DHS has indicated that the change is pretty much a done deal.

And the lawless regime rolls on.

Hitchcock's "Rear Window" courtyard scenes in 3-minute video -- phenomenal

Rear Window

Have you ever imagined what the courtyard of the apartments from Alfred Hitchcock's film "Rear Window" looked like in full? Videographer and special effects master Jess Desom has done just that. Using After Effects, Desom pieced together the scenes from the famous Greenwhich Village courtyard and all of the tenants' happenings into a cohesive three minute video. The results of his work are phenomenal and kind of mind blowing, providing never-before-seen perspective on a popular film.

Desom has also done visual work for the likes of NRP & WNYC’s Radiolab in their video "Words."

Watch below for Jess Desom's version of "Rear Window":

That, folks, is a picture of a trailer flying in Dallas

Multiple tornadoes threw tractor-trailers in the air, ripped the roof off an elementary school, leveled houses and shut down airline traffic out of DFW airport as one of the worst storms in years hit the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Baseball-sized hail punched holes through car roofs, and a Red Cross spokeswoman warned the breath of the destruction may not be cleared until well into tomorrow. The mayor of Arlington has declaring a state of disaster following the storm strike.4:17 pm: Meteorologist Jeff Jamison says there are currently 4 Tornado Warnings – Hunt, Hopkins, Lamar and Delta Counties.

Ok, forget about Anna Chapman. JD says another spy, Cynthia Murphy, was the femme fatale

Chapman, the seductive 20-something SoHo spy, was named by a British newspaper Monday as the reason the FBI decided to finally round up the Russian ring, which had long been under surveillance, in 2010. The paper cited an interview conducted by the British broadcasting network the BBC with the FBI's counter-intelligence head Frank Figliuzzi.

"We were becoming very concerned they were getting close enough to a sitting U.S. cabinet member that we thought we could no longer allow this to continue," Figliuzzi said.

But Figliuzzi never named the Russian agent in question, even if the BBC ran images of Chapman -- as well as shots of a look-a-like -- during the interview, and now the FBI says he wasn't talking about her at all. Instead, Justice Department officials told ABC News Figliuzzi was referring to another of the arrested spies, Cynthia Murphy.

According to court documents relating to the spies' arrest, Murphy had been in contact with a fundraiser and "personal friend" of Hillary Clinton, who took the office of Secretary of State in January 2009. The fundraiser, Alan Patricof, said in a statement in 2010 had retained Murphy's financial services firm more than two years before, had met with her a few times and spoke with her on the phone frequently. Patricof said they "never" spoke about politics, the government or world affairs.

Russian female spy was arrested before she got too close to 'Cabinet-level' U.S. official

Another revelation in the series is the real reason why the FBI swooped on Russian spy Anna Chapman in 2010. Top officials feared the glamorous Russian agent wanted to seduce one of US President Barack Obama’s inner circle. Frank Figliuzzi, the FBI’s head of counterintelligence, reveals how she got “closer and closer to higher and higher ranking leadership… she got close enough to disturb us”.

The fear that Chapman would compromise a senior US official in a “honey trap” was a key reason for the arrest and deportation of the Russian spy ring of 10 people, of which she was a part, in 2010. “We were becoming very concerned,” he says. “They were getting close enough to a sitting US cabinet member that we thought we could no longer allow this to continue.” Mr Figliuzzi refuses to name the individual who was being targeted.

The spy's story is found midway down the U.K. Independent article here: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/politics/man-whose-wmd-lies-led-to-100000-deaths-confesses-all-7606236.html

Michelle Obama brings the presidential campaign to children

Michelle Obama, who has quickly become the Obama campaign’s tip of the spear when it comes to fundraising and vote-getting, is now stumping for children to convince their “great-grandparents” to vote for her husband. At an event at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park – for which tickets cost at least $500 – Michelle said:

"I mean, I can’t tell you in the last election how many grandparents I ran into who said, I wasn’t going to vote for Barack Obama until my grandson talked to me, until my great-grandson talked to me, and talked about the future he wanted for this country."

"You can get out there with your parents. You guys can knock on doors. I had one young lady who brought me a petition — she’s already working. You can convince wrong people. Sometimes we don’t listen to ourselves, but we will listen to our children."

Another tax payer-supported solar company goes bankrupt

In keeping with the recent trend of so-called green companies going into the red, another solar energy company supported by President Obama's top administration officials declared bankruptcy today.

Solar Trust for America received $2.1 billion in conditional loan guarantees from the Department of Energy -- "the largest amount ever offered to a solar project," according to Energy Secretary Steven Chu -- for a project near Blythe, Calif., but declared bankruptcy within a year. It is unclear how much of the guarantee, if any, was actually awarded.

Bugatti's $1.9 million Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport

Bugatti, a supercar unit of Volkswagen AG, said it will display its Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport model at the New York International Auto Show. The company said high customer demand compelled it to bring the car to the show, where it could attract potential buyers.

The Veyron’s 16-cylinder engine puts out more than 1,000 horsepower and can drive the car to a top speed of 253 mph with its removable top in place and 223 mph with the roof off. If it rains, the driver can erect an umbrella-like soft top to keep dry. The soft roof limits the car’s top speed to 100 mph.

Kentucky wins NCAA Championship

There was no doubt that the best team won the NCAA basketball championship on Monday night. There was also no doubt that Kentucky’s 67-59 victory over Kansas was almost preordained this season, even if a tough-minded group of Kansas players and a timid-seeming Kentucky coach conspired to make the game closer than it should have been.

Put simply, Kentucky was too good to lose to the Jayhawks or to anyone else when it really mattered. The Wildcats finished a remarkable season with a record of 38-2 and with six NCAA tournament victories that were rarely in doubt.
